The Mornington Peninsula feels like an island, with a mighty ocean to the south, and bays and sheltered beaches on either side. Fertile hills roll down to iridescent beaches and tranquil harbours and serene bay views are everywhere you look.

Arthurs Seat has been a Popular Recreational destination since the Earliest Days of Settlement.
Arthurs Seat has been a popular recreational destination since the earliest days of settlement. The steep granite hill, the Peninsula’s highest viewpoint, provides panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay from its many lookouts and a wealth of things to do within a short walk of the summit. The 304-metre peak was named ‘Arthurs Seat’ by Lieutenant Murray in 1802, after a similar landform near Edinburgh.
Look out over golden beaches, Melbourne’s skyline and the Mornington and Bellarine peninsulas from the summit of Arthurs Seat. Get lost in the Arthurs Seat Maze, which incorporates 20 themed gardens
Picnic or barbecue in the extensive ornamental gardens at Seawinds or take one of the signposted walks through the 35-hectare property
