General Information
Clydesdale Manor is now a 4.5 star Bed and Breakfast of renown and has already featured in Marie Claire and major newspapers and magazines both within Australia and internationally.
We encourage you to allow time to fully experience Clydesdale Manor and all that this glorious island has to offer.
At Clydesdale Manor we understand that guests appreciate variety and as a result we offer a choice of room types and styles including:
A Garden Spa Suite is located on the ground floor with its own courtyard overlooking the formal rear garden while our Romantic Spa Suite is situated in its own private wing of the manor and has a private balcony providing the perfect setting to relax with a glass of champagne after a day of site-seeing.
Superior Rooms are grand in proportion and offer a choice of either a king sized four- poster bed (from the estate of a former Tasmanian premier) or queen beds. Either way you are presented with a spectacular view of the majestic Mount Wellington whether it is at sunset or covered in snow.
For those seeking to immerse themselves in the Clydesdale experience we also offer Standard Rooms offering all the amenities you would expect from a premier 4.5 star establishment.
We like to spoil our guests and it is not uncommon to return to your room and find such delectable treats as berry friands, lemon palmiers or Tasmanian truffles left for your enjoyment while guests staying three nights or more are presented with a special Crabtree and Evelyn pamper pack.
Our philosophy in developing Clydesdale Manor was to create a relaxing environment for your enjoyment where you can be as active, or indulgent, as you desire – we merely provide the options:
- be cocooned in your room;
- wander through, or sit among, the enchanting gardens;
- relax in the lounge (in front of the fire on cold nights);
- listen to our diverse range of CD’s;
- browse our eclectic range of intelligent and cosmopolitan magazines;
- enjoy a glass of champagne, or perhaps a cocktail, from our in-house bar;
- indulge with our delicious breakfast.
