General Information
Hunting Lodge Estate is an established Cellar Door and Winery in the Brisbane Hinterland. First Opened in 1999 as a B & B and Cellar Door Outlet, this 340 acre cattle property is strategically located on a plateau with 360 degree views. The winery and cellar door are open for wine tasting and tours 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm. The Kalahari Bar is open weekends and public holidays for coffee and Devonshire teas - so why not treat yourself to a wine tasting and Devonshire tea this weekend. The restaurant is currently open only for Bed & Breakfast guests by arrangement Our museum of animals and artefacts from all around the world provides an interesting viewing experience.
We have five star accommodation and air-conditioned African-style farm stay
huts. The Lodge has wheel chair access to the buildings and offers exclusive specials for bus and tour group bookings. Unique bush poetry and entertainment can be provided for special events
The wine processing plant opened early 2002 and boasts state-of-the art wine
making facilities. Tours can be arranged by appointment. The mineral rich volcanic soil overlaying the shale base has gives well drained and fertile conditions. The naturally balanced pH rainwater and Queensland's famous sunshine together produce an exclusive growing combination.
Hunting Lodge Estate is situated centrally just one hour from the Sunshine Coast, one and a quarter hours from Brisbane and one and a half hours from Toowoomba.
