Mapleton is located on the northern section of the Blackall Range
Mapleton is located on the northern section of the Blackall Range, overlooking the sweep of the coastal towns of the Sunshine Coast. It is an arts and crafts centre with natural attractions. A short drive away is Mapleton Falls National Park which is rich in wildlife, especially birds, frogs and reptiles. In the park, look for a Bunya Pine. These trees drop cones weighing as much as ten kilograms. The cones contain large nuts that the locals once fed on.
Take a breathtaking walk through eucalypt forest and rainforest at Mapleton Falls or visit the beautiful Liliponds Park. This park opened in 1988 and provides a great picnic environment with barbeques and a children's playground.
