Daintree Cape Tribulation Heritage Lodge
Address - PMB 14 Mossman, 4873
General Information
Heritage Lodge is located at the base of majestic Thornton Peak and consists of 16 acres of pristine Rainforest.
It adjoins Cooper Creek with almost 1 kilometre of crystal clear swimming holes which can be accessed by guests.
The rear border is the Daintree Cape Tribulation National Park. The Cooper Creek section of the Daintree Rainforest is widely regarded as some of the most important, complex and abundant rainforest in the wet tropics.
Many rare & endangered species of both flora & fauna can be found on the property.
We are three kilometres from Thornton Beach, one of regions most beautiful beaches. Other, even more private beaches can be found with directions from the hosts.
There are only 20 cabins, located in 5 separate clearings. Guest numbers are limited so the resort never loses it's quiet & peaceful atmosphere.
The property has very little real gardens; the focus is on retaining the rainforest in as natural and pristine condition as possible. This ensures maximum wildlife and a genuine rainforest experience.
The resort's pool is rarely used due to the amazing rainforest pools only metres away, however it offers another swimming option for those shy of swimming with turtles and fish and is also handy during extreme drought or flood when the swimming holes may become inaccessible. It is surrounded by towering black palms and 10 metre tall tree ferns, providing a unique rainforest setting. Daintree Natural Therapies & Spa is also located on the property, along with the restaurant & bar.
The cabins are all air-conditioned, with high ceilings and fully screened, louvered windows which open directly to the rainforest.
They are designed to blend in to their surrounds.
In keeping with the feel of the resort, there are no telephones in the cabins. Nor do mobile phones work in this area.
There is, however, a phone available for use in reception.
Most cabins have only the Queen Sized bed. However, there are some cabins with one or two extra single beds.
Families of up to four people can be accommodated. Some cabins contain large TVs and DVD players.
There is no television reception. We have a library of DVDs for your use.
