The Leichhardt Motel is a 16 unit motel located on the south side of Cairns, that offers clean, affordable accommodation with all the comforts for the weary traveller, or the enthusiastic tourist.
Our Motel is a friendly family run business, and we will do our utmost to ensure that your stay with us is to your satisfaction.
We are situated on the main road into Cairns, and only 2 minutes walk from Stockland Shopping Centre, and only 5kms from Cairns City Centre with sporting venues and hotels in between. The Sunbus goes by every 7-10 minutes.
The rooms are situated around a salt water swimming pool surrounded by tropical palms, ferns and orchids, where you can unwind and relax and also enjoy the barbecue facilities.
A large brochure display of tours, activities and attractions in our office will help you decide your holiday adventure. Some of our favourites are Skyrail, Tusa Dive, Raging Thunder, PK's Jungle Village, Ferntree Rainforest Resort and Cape Tribulation Jungle Lodge. We will be only too happy to do all of your tour bookings for you. Most tour operators have courtesy venue pick-up and drop-off services for your convenience.
The Motel offers you a room service breakfast, the prices being very reasonable and the food is wholesome and hearty. There are several fast food outlets within close walking distance which cater for a variety of tastes.
